Over the next few weeks, we’re delighted to introduce you to our behind-the-scenes She Speaks 2011 staff!
If you’ve pitched a book proposal at She Speaks in years past, Sheila Mangum was the gem coordinating those meetings. She’s been a dear friend of the ministry for well over a decade, but is new to the office as of this year.
Melissa Taylor, our admin assistant, and Sheila
Sheila came onboard in February as She Speaks Registration Coordinator. She does more than 26 letters of the alphabet could describe! From registration to shuttles to publisher appointments to conference calls to roommates to changes to… phew! You can imagine how busy she is.
Through it all you’ll hear her sweet southern voice loving everyone who calls with a honey, angel-pie, pumpkin!
Fun Facts: Sheila has given everyone in the office a nickname!! Chick-fil-A Chicken Minis, Diet Coke and pretzels carry her through on her 45 minute drive either way to work (and that’s without traffic!). And she loves Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer!
Her advice: Talk to everyone you meet! Get to know the whole group, because there’s so many different callings and paths that each woman has walked and you can glean wisdom. Love on as many people as you can, cause it truly is a once in a lifetime event!
Her prayer for you: For God to direct each appointment you have there!

Is Sheila’s FB page really Appalachian State Mountianeers? That is what the FB link loads to. I did check out her webpage and it looks like a true blessing to all who have faced hurt in their life. Can’t wait to cross paths with Shelia at She Speaks! Be blessed.
How odd, Kelly! Her page is definitely her own
Please click on it again and it’ll take you straight there.
Thanks!
Looooooooovvvvvvveeeeeee. Sheila! Can’t wait to meet her
She….ila speaks! She is a gem!
Thanks, Sheila, for helping me coordinate my publisher meeting! I wasn’t sure who to pick as my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice, but she helped me and I feel SO good about it! You are definitely a gem…a diamond!
I love how God is introducing me to so many wonderful new ladies and I can hardly wait to actually meet them in a few weeks! Shelia is one more special lady that I can hardly wait to meet
Sheila was so sweet when I called, too! She handles us confused/anxious girls well!
Sheila, you are so caring and loving!
I can’t wait to meet you!
Love,
Michele
I can’t wait to meet you sweet sister in Jesus. Thank you for being so gracious and patient through all my questions, and for emulating Jesus’ love and joy so beautifully when I talked to you on the phone. You could have easily just taken care of the business at hand and left it at that but you took the time to talk to me about how I felt about attending the conference this year and showed excitement with and for me. Love and blessings!
